AVID: The school has an AVID program that serves 28 students and is facilitated by math teacher Ms. Heather Woods.

Blogging: Students have been learning about making blogs in Mr. Scheer's AR class. As "kid reporters" students learn to cover news events and to report them on their blogs. They have been helped by GEAR UP Technology Coordinator Lisa Schwartz.

Field Trip: Writing teacher Ms. Leslie Ijams has arranged a field trip to see "To Kill a Mockingbird" with selected students from her classes during the spring.
