AVID: The school has an AVID (Advancement via Individual Determination) program that serves 17 students and is facilitated by science teacher Ms. Adrienne Fish.

Digital Storytelling: Several students have been working on Digital Storytelling with support from GEAR UP Technology Coordinator Lisa Schwartz. This program has been taking place twice a week after school.

Field Trip: Language Arts teachers have planned a field trip to see "Elis Island" in March with a small group of selected students.

Career Day: The school will have its first career day for 8th graders on April 23. The event will begin with keynote speaker Barbara Grijalva, Channel 13 anchorwoman.
