AVID: The school has an AVID (Advancement via Individual Determination) program that serves 28 students and is facilitated by social studies teacher Mr. Marco Rodriguez.

Cafecito y Placita: Cafecito y Placita is a group for parents that meets twice a month from 8:30 - 9:30am. This group is made up of not only GEAR UP parents, but any parent who wants to learn more about how to better prepare their student for college.

Career Day: The school will have its first career day for 8th graders on April 25th.
